Cykotic Customs car club was established in 1999 by Chris Ferrill and Ryan Barbaro in response to an outbreak of "custom car clubs" who weren't custom at all, with most of these clubs pulling in members the way a big-time winner in casino attracts hangers-on. The influx of people claiming to be in fake "custom car clubs" were overwhelming, and the duo felt they needed to do something about it. Cykotic Customs car club are of course wary of being put into the same group. due to this, their car club requires for a car to be approved by them before accepting their car into the club.
